Four Restaurants To Try This Weekend

One of my favourite winter sports is restaurant hopping.

I enjoy being ushered into a warm eatery. Whether I am solo or with loved ones, I relish anticipating the flavors I’m about to taste.

My tastebuds are extra attentive in the colder months, I’m sure there’s a scientific explanation somewhere about this.

If you like eating out and you happen to be in Pretoria, this is the article for you.

We’re focusing on four restaurants in the dining precinct at Time Square. This area is found at the top of the casino and the SunBet Arena concert venue.  These four establishments caught my attention.

Appetite

Appetite is Time Square’s signature restaurant.

What they promise: An elegantly rustic dining experience.

What makes them standout: They have live cooking stations. Their interactive dining experiences aim to engage diners in the joy of cooking. They also have selected wine and cocktail lists that are designed to complement your meal.

This restaurant serves Italian cuisine inspired by the chef’s Italian heritage.

What they promise: Delicate dishes and decadent desserts infused with history. They use the best quality sustainable produce. These are paired with an exceptional choice of wines.

What they hope you’ll appreciate: The culinary magic of internationally acclaimed chef Fortunato Mazzone.

What they promise: A venue that caters for anything from light meals to main dishes. They offer a wide selection of drinks.

What they hope you’ll like: Their elegant and classy atmosphere that makes food and drinks even more enjoyable.

The panoramic views from the 12th floor offer the perfect backdrop for your culinary escapade at this venue.

What they promise: A tantalising five-course menu that celebrates the artistry of fine dining. Complete with carefully curated wine pairings.

What they’re banking on: The excellent culinary standards of the Sun International group executive chef Adrian Vaughan and his team.

If you try these places out, let me know what you thought of them.

These look great for date night and special occasions too. Definitely taking a road trip to Pretoria soon (yes, Joburg people are that dramatic lol).
